2014 Memphis In May Beale Street Music Festival

It was day two of the 2014 Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival and the guys from Concert Blast was ready for another day of fun and music.  They started the day with a delicious lunch with their friends (and Saturday sponsor) at Rendezvous.  The best barbecue ribs in town… maybe the planet!  From there Mike Arnold, Brian Hasbrook, Tom Thompson, and Will Perry headed to Tom Lee Park to begin their duties.  We covered several top acts, but only a few made the audio podcast; Four Vines Winery interview, Los Rabanes (from Panama), Jerry Lee Lewis, Blues Traveler, Joan Jett, and the headliner for the night, Kid Rock.  Special thanks to our festival sponsor, The Best Around Concessions.  Enjoy the audio podcast coverage and Mike Arnold’s written blog review!

            CMA Music Festival 2013

It’s that time of the year when Concert Blast makes their way to downtown Nashville, TN to cover one of their favorite music festivals, The CMA Music Festival.  This music fest is something that all music genres should learn from. It’s when the top selling country music artists, the legendary country artists, as well as the new country artists gather together in Nashville, TN during the second week of June to perform for the fans which drove in and flew in from all over the world to see all the concerts and meet their favorite country artists.  The key music lesson here is that all the performers do this for nothing but the love of their fans! Special Thanks to our CMA Music Festival sponsor, The Old Spaghetti Factory (http://www.osf.com).  Please visit them and tell them Concert Blast sent you!

Enjoy this podcast on the first of four nights of the stadium concerts with Tracy Lawrence, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and the Zac Brown Brown… ENJOY!

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You either love it for the recognition it gives to the greatest of the genre, or hate it because of all the arguably deserving artists who have been left behind. Me? As a music lover, it’s hard for me not to be sucked into the scene. This was my 3rd year attending the ceremony, and in my opinion, was perhaps one of the best celebrations yet.

For the last 14 years, the CMA Awards have consistently been one of my favorite projects to be a part of. I can only think of one show (the Grammys) that brings together the amount of talent and diversity that this one does. Each year brings it’s own set of interesting performances and results, and this year was no different. So, let’s get right to it!

Concert Blast was once again accepted as media to cover the CMA Festival for the third straight year.  With the unfortunate circumstance of having Bonnaroo on the same weekend and Brian Hasbrook being called to work in New York during the same week we were stretched.  Last year we had four podcasts of the CMA Festival, but this year we were trying to be everywhere at once, so there’s only one podcast dedicated to the CMA Fest.  On Sunday June 14th, Concert Blast accepted an invitation to the Chuck Wicks Fan Club Party.  While Mike, Brian, and Tom were together once again, they decided to put together a podcast discussing the CMA FestivalNecessary Precautions When you’re looking to shop for it all. https://unica-web.com/archive/1999/1999-secretary-report.pdf viagra without prescription Stadium shows  they attended as well as recorded a portion of the Chuck Wicks Fan Club Party.

This year, Tom attended every night of the CMA Stadium shows.  Tom discusses the opening night where they had to take shelter at the Stadium due to the storms coming through Nashville.   The Friday night show had special guest Kid Rock.  Saturday night show had a special reunion appearance of The Judds during Wynonna’s set.  Sunday night was full of today’s top Country stars including Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift.
