On the bill that night was Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Little Big Town, and opening the show was Chris Young.

Doug (Cosmo) Clifford and Stu Cook of Creedence Clearwater Revival (and Revisited) - In Concert - Nashville, TN
It was Sunday night June 19th 2011, a Father’s Day celebration in Nashville, TN, as classic rock landed at the Wildhorse Saloon once again. Creedence Clearwater Revisted made a Sold-Out return appearance to the Music City. Mike Arnold, Brian Hasbrook, and Tom Thompson made room in their Father’s Day schedule to attend this rockin’ event. Mike and Brian arrived early during the soundcheck for a scheduled interview with original Creedence Clearwater Revival members, bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug (Cosmo) Clifford. Then the fun continued with the CCR fans in attendance and of course the excellent concert… Which means another Concert Blast podcast!

U2 Stage - Nashville, TN - Vanderbilt Stadium
It was a muggy July Saturday evening in Nashville, TN, but the 45,000 rock music fans that gathered in Vanderbilt Stadium to see U2 perform didn’t seem to mind at all. Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson were there to capture the live U2 concert experience in person to bring the excitement to the fans in their audio podcast.

Brad Paisley In Concert - CMA Music Festival 2011
It was our annunal return to the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN. On this first night of the Stadium concerts, Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson, and James Downing were on hand to cover the best event in Country Music. Special guest host Charity Taylor also joined the staff as a helper on this night of fun.
Providing the entertainment on this night were; Zach Brown Band (with very special surprise guests Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Amos Lee, and others), Brad Paisley (with his special surprise guest Alabama), Jason Aldean (with special surprise guest Kelly Clarkson), Sara Evans, and Easton Corbin.

ZZ Top In Concert - Nashville, TN - Dusty Hill and Billy Gibbons

When I was 15 years old my dad got me a job riding in an 18 wheeler on a route with a guy and helping him unload boxes at each of his stops in Tennessee and Kentucky. One thing made me excited about this job was that the truck driver had 2 boxes of eight track tapes that he carried with him on his route each day. I could not wait to see what he had in the box. The first morning of the job I asked if I could look at his tapes. When I opened the first box he reached over and pulled out a tape and said something like “Let’s go down to Texas.” I told him I had better call my parents if we were going to Texas because they just thought that we were going to Kentucky. He laughed and said “No man, this is ‘That Little Ole Band From Texas’ ZZ Top, you ever heard them?” I told him no as he pushed the tape into the player and the first song that played was “Just Got Paid” I was a fan after that first song. After that day I listened to the local FM station and heard a lot of songs by ZZ Top and found out they were very popular. I went to several of their shows and loved their music more with each album.

Eddie Money in Concert - Nashville, TN
Eddie Money returned to Nashville, TN on Friday May 13th 2011 for another performance at the World Famous Wildhorse Saloon. The guys from Concert Blast were more than excited about this show not only because of Eddie Money, but his opening act is one of our favorite live bands, The Stacie Collins Band. Alter Bridge In Concert - Nashville, TN 5-11-2011
It was a Wednesday May 11th, 2011 in Nashville, TN and the Cannery Ballroom had a Sold-Out crowd ready to be a part of the Alter Bridge experience. Alter Bridge brought out the excitement in this crowd as fists were pumping in the air and voices were singing along to nearly every song performed that night. The opener for the night, Like-A-Storm, warmed up this energetic crowd and then gave us an interview. Winter Jam 2011 Nashville, TN
Mike Arnold and Brian Hasbrook of Concert Blast were on hand at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN to enjoy and review the Winter Jam 2011 concert. This was a night of various styles of Contemporary Christian music and Mike and Brian loved this evening. With ten acts performing short sets of their new and popular tunes. For the second year in a row I was invited to work as the script supervisor for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions and of course, I obliged. I always love hearing my friends tell me to make sure to tell someone to induct __________ (insert favorite rock group) into the Hall. (Usually KISS or RUSH) I’m not sure exactly how the nominations go about, and while I have my own feelings about some of the great groups that have been left out (Eagles, Heart, Journey & oh so many more), I was fairly satisfied with this years group of inductees.
