Charlie Daniel’s and the Charlie Daniel’s Band brought their southern rock show to the Wildhorse Saloon on August 27th, 2009.
I will have to say that Charlie and the band still know how to bring southern rock back to Nashville. The talent of Charlie and his band sounded better than ever. One thing I noticed with this show is Charlie plays a lot more electric and acoustic guitar than I have seen him do in the past. I was very pleased with how well he can still play, especially the numerous guitar leads. Charlie’s fiddle playing is still amazing, we just didn’t see him play it very often.

Loverboy September 4, 2009 Wildhorse Saloon Nashville, TN
Concert Review by James Downing
For each decade in music there are a handful of bands that define the spirit and attitude of those years. The 50′s had Elvis, Chuck Berry, and Bill Haley, the 60′s had The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Monkees, The 70′s had Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Peter Frampton, and The Eagles. The 80′s had Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey and the subject of this review, Loverboy.
Loveboy blew down from Canada and set the rock and roll world on fire with their rock anthems to make their mark music history. Lead by singer Mike Reno, the band chalked up a string of hit singles and lps that have become 80′s classics. MTV was just getting started and this medium served as a springboard for many artists and bands and Loverboy was right there leading the pack.

Country music fans are some of the most dedicated fans in music. Each year thousands of them from all over the world make the journey to Nashville, TN to take part in the CMA Music Festival. This year as usual there were concerts, meet and greets with the stars, and fan club parties where the fan can get up close and personal with their favorite singers and bands. Sunday night June 14th 2009, Pam Tillis, daughter of country music legend Mel Tillis, played the Wildhorse Saloon. There was a larger concert going on that night at LP Field so the crowd wasn’t that big, but the fans in attendance were die hard Pam Tillis fans.
Pam did a meet and greet before the show where she signed autographs, took pictures with the fans, and did something that I thought was very special. When she first entered the room she told the fans to stick around after they had their pictures made with her. After everything was signed and all the pictures were taken, she did a question and answer session and even pulled out a guitar and sung a song. She wanted to do another song but her husband told her that she was going on in 7 minutes. I have been to many of these meet and greets, but this is the first time that I have ever seen someone make it so up close and personal like Pam Tillis did that night.
