As the guys from Concert Blast reflect back on the coverage performed in 2013, we thought it would be better to show you with hundreds of photographs taken throughout the year in a video segment. The year’s photo coverage began with an interview with singer/songwriter/actress Jewel from our guest blogger/photographer friend Samantha Shrader and ended with Mike Arnold‘s visit to the annual Christmas 4 Kids benefit touring of tour buses. This year also included the Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival, the CMA Music Festival, and the K-Love Fan Awards, along with numerous concerts, interviews, and CD reviews throughout the year. Concert Blast in the Media Trailer at Memphis in May 2013
On this fourth Concert Blast Webisode we explain that during the opening night of the Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival, Sheryl Crow was the first of three acts for the entire weekend to refuse the photographers from taking concert photos of her show. The photographers in the media trailer were very upset on this decision and you will see and hear their rants about her. Brian Hasbrook explains the photo pit access while Tom Thompson and Mike Arnold pick on Brian for not taking photos of Sheryl from the middle of the crowd. Fans Having a Good Time at the CMA Music Festival 2013
It was night number two of the CMA Music Festival stadium concerts and Concert Blast was on hand to cover this fun event. This podcast is the review/coverage on the second of four nights of the stadium concerts with Mike Arnold, special guest host Will Perry (Tom was absent that night), a short recap from photographer Brian Hasbrook (who was losing his voice), and lots of Concert Blast friends in attendance. Beale Street Music Festival Crowd
One of the first topics Concert Blast covered on our very first show was the discussion of Tom Thompson’s trip to Memphis as he attended the Beale Street Music Festival in May of 2005. Every year since, Concert Blast has covered the three day music festival and have enjoyed every one of them.
