Our CMA Music Fest 2011 Coverage continued with the fourth and final night of the festival, the Sunday Night Stadium Concerts, thrilled packed stadium of country music fans with major headliners and a couple of surprises! On the bill that night was Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, The Band Perry, and opening the show was the JaneDear girls.

Taylor Swift - CMA Music Fest 2011

Each year the Grammy Awards are one of the most watched, most loved AND most hated television programs of the year. For those who only like one type of music it can be frustrating to watch and walking the line to makes sure several formats get represented in the performances and awards is always a daunting task for the producers. The CMA Festival of 2009 was one of the largest crowds that Nashville, TN has seen in quite a while. Every year country music fans come in from all over the country, and the world, to enjoy several days of music and parties from their favorite country music artists. During this year’s events, most of the concerts were free. The weather was nice (with the exception of the one storm at the stadium on opening night). Below are several pics from the week of the CMA Fest 2009. ENJOY!!!

Concert Blast was once again accepted as media to cover the CMA Festival for the third straight year. With the unfortunate circumstance of having Bonnaroo on the same weekend and Brian Hasbrook being called to work in New York during the same week we were stretched. Last year we had four podcasts of the CMA Festival, but this year we were trying to be everywhere at once, so there’s only one podcast dedicated to the CMA Fest. On Sunday June 14th, Concert Blast accepted an invitation to the Chuck Wicks Fan Club Party. While Mike, Brian, and Tom were together once again, they decided to put together a podcast discussing the CMA Festival Stadium shows they attended as well as recorded a portion of the Chuck Wicks Fan Club Party.
This year, Tom attended every night of the CMA Stadium shows. Tom discusses the opening night where they had to take shelter at the Stadium due to the storms coming through Nashville. The Friday night show had special guest Kid Rock. Saturday night show had a special reunion appearance of The Judds during Wynonna’s set. Sunday night was full of today’s top Country stars including Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift.
