Mike Arnold and Brian Hasbrook of Concert Blast covered Saturday’s 2011 Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival with artists; John Mellencamp, Lucinda Williams, Mumford and Sons, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hinder, and Paul Thorn.
Mike and Brian also had the privledge to be in the backstage area as Jerry Lee Lewis walked out to his limo right in front of us to be escorted back home.
The Mumford & Sons performance had the largest crowd we had ever seen at a single stage for the Beale Street Music Festival, and we have covered this event since 2005!
Since the Mighty Mississippi River continued to rise and rain storms were coming, Mike and Brian decided to skip the third day of the festival and get back to Nashville. Last year Nashville was faced with a flood (which caused us to be stuck out of town) and this year Memphis was faced with a potential flood (we didn’t want to be stuck again).
Enjoy this Festival Coverage of the second night of the 2011 Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival.
